The Geneva Peacebuilding Platform Transitions to Foundation Status
The Geneva Peacebuilding Platform (GPP) is pleased to announce a significant transformation in its organizational structure. As of July 2024, GPP will transition from being hosted at the Centre on Conflict, Development and Peacebuilding (CCDP) within the Geneva Graduate Institute to becoming an independent foundation. This change marks a new chapter in GPP's mission to foster interaction and understanding in the peacebuilding sector. Since March 2024, GPP has been operating out of its new office in the Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance (DCAF) building at Maison de la Paix.

GPW24 Applications are extended until 31 May
The Geneva Peace Week (GPW) consortium is excited to announce the opening of the call for applications for GPW24. Organisations working on peacebuilding issues are invited to submit their proposals until Friday 24 May 2024. This year, GPW aims to curate a diverse program comprising around 40 events, among 24 events, including 12 panels and 12 workshops, are open for a call for applications. Prospective organisations are encouraged to align their proposals with one of the identified keywords reflecting the thematic direction of GPW24.

Among the highlights of the past year was the commemoration of the 10th anniversary of Geneva Peace Week, a seminal event that brought together over 5500 participants and hosted 61 thought-provoking events. This milestone celebration underscored the platform's commitment to dialogue, collaboration, and innovation in the pursuit of sustainable peace.

The GPW23 Report is out!
With a staggering total of 61 events ranging from ceremonies to high-level panels, policy briefings, workshops, art exhibitions, and social gatherings, Geneva Peace Week 2023 was a testament to the power of collaboration and dialogue. A remarkable 167 partners, comprising 149 organizers and 18 institutional partners, joined forces to make this forum a resounding success. With 221 experts contributing their insights, the week-long event attracted an impressive 5,500 attendees, representing 155 countries.
