Senior development/peacebuilding professional with over 30 years of experience across the United Nations, national government, academia, and the NGO sector. Experience of leading UN teams in HQ (New York and Geneva) and in the Middle East, Central Asia, and Asia Pacific. Skilled in strategy development, partnerships, policy dialogue, action research and programme management in diverse international contexts, including crisis-affected settings. Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, mobilise resources, and engage with a wide range of stakeholders—from senior government officials and donors to academia, civil society and multilateral partners. Experience of managing large multi-dimensional programmes in crisis contexts (e.g. Iraq, Myanmar). PhD in Economics from Cambridge University in the UK and widely published on development and peace/security issues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Academic experience (teaching and research) in South Africa, Switzerland and the UK.
